Definition of Success

What is your definition of success?

That was the question asked by the Success mentor in a talk I went for earlier today.. Many hands raise to answer the apparently obvious, "..to be rich!" said a man, "..achieve all your dreams!" said a lady, "..to get straight A's!" said a student..

Then the mentor asked,"And how do you achieve success?"

"By working your ass off!", said a man with a laugh. Another raised his hand,"By being committed, determined consistent and hardworking in what you do."

The mentor smiled and went on asking, "But how can success help you succeed even when you have nothing on you? No money, no skills, no assets."

The room went quiet. Then a man stood up and said,"By accepting criticism, by being more resilient to failure and setbacks, by learning from your mistakes."

The mentor smiled and explained that success can be define in many ways, but how you define it is important in sculpting how you wish to see your success (dream) as in the future.

In order to succeed in life as a whole, you need to put aside your ego, and be prepare to bring yourself to the lowest point of your life. "Failure is a tonic for your success.." no matter how many times you fail, you must still have the courage to persevere and carry yourself up to success.

But what is success? What is your definition of success? That is a question you should ask yourself..

I was shopping online earlier when I came across a local e-Store (online retail store) selling dresses and accessories.. Best part, they seem to be doing awfully well!
Yes, the e-Store is for ladies (*hint: dresses) and I happen to come across it.. That's all..

Guys you probably have no idea what I just wrote up there, but it's alright really. I took a month of shopping with my girl friends to remember all the different dress, bags, bottoms, tops, bags, and whatever's names. Yes, go shopping with the ladies and you'll be enlightened.. Not to mention drained out too.. I have no idea how they can survive 9 straight hours of shopping!

Oh and you might be wondering why I said "..they seem to be doing very well!"
Businesses in Singapore, local businesses rather, are having a very hard time surviving nowadays..
Economy's been very very shaky..

The usual rants

Today was exceptionally uneventful and ridiculously mundane..

Honestly, I don't have anything interesting to post.. Other then the fact that NS is in 2 and a half weeks time that is.. Yeah I'm counting down. It's pretty exciting. Haha. Wee~ NS! Yay yippee.. Ugh... -.-

Ouh! Just remembered. I was debating with this girl-friend of mine awhile ago regarding one of her illogical Facebook status.

No offence, but honestly, why do most girls (I said most, not all. But please, don't do this shit if you're not one of em, or atleast think you're not) always come up with this shit and they'd be all ignorant to other's comments. And when it doesnt work out, they go all emotional and shit.. "Why god why?", "Why me?".. Well, if I was god, I'd say "Serve you right. You made that decision."
Seriously, why the hell are they like that?

If you think you're smart, girls/guys alike, and you think you are really open-minded, then please fucking use that walnut up there and think before you actually say something like,"I've came to a decision in my life.. Blah blah blah.."

Don't get me wrong here.. I'm not trying to control people's decisions here.. I believe everyone's fate lies in the choices they make.

I'm just saying, don't let ego get the best of you and fuck you up in the end if you can't fucking handle the truth. Coz the truth, well it hurts pretty fucking bad..

3 Kudos to 3 Different People!

Just trying out this new app I got called BlogPress. Pretty cool app. It connects your iPhone to your blog, be it blogger, Wordpress, ect. This is really convenient cause now I can literally blog on the go! I'll be using this app as long as the developers keep it updated and keep it running as it should.. Kudos to them! (That's no. 1)

But never blog while driving.. That shit is uncool and dangerous man.. Big NO NO!

That aside, yesterday evening was once in a very long time since I last went to Clark Quay again.. I kinda missed the atmosphere, but honestly, I'm sick of the life. (Wait, did I even have a life to start of with? Hmm..)
Anyway, I ate alot.. So overall, it was an utterly satisfying day for me.. If I could say so myself.. :D

But then, there's this girl.. I saw her running wherever I went.. From home to Rail Mall, to Clark Quay, to Boat Quay, to Timbre@Raffles, and back home again..

Honestly I think, I wouldn't have lasted the same run like you did.. I mean, you've been running in my mind all day! Kudos to you! True story. (That's no. 2)

You have my respect girl! Not that I never respected her before, it's just a figure of speech really..

And to who is the 3rd one? Well me of course! Kudos to Me for blogging even at this hour! Hahaha! :D

Commitments

Hey Hey! Papa's back!

Yeah It's been ages since I last posted something here..
And Yes we all know I'm suppose to be updating regularly..
But hey, you can't blog when you've got nothing to blog about in your blog coz' if you do, then you'd definitely be blogging about it in you blog!  (See what I did there.. Haha)

And why is the title of this post, "Commitment"?

Well, it's simple really..

Commitment is and WILL BE the reason for my lack of updates in the past and future..
(Which is utterly retarded.. I swear..)

Well i was too busy with work in the past.. (Yeah.. But you could've updated every night after work!)
Uhh.. Yeeeaahh.. about that..... ....
Uhh.. I think momma's calling me.... Be right back...

...and... The future.. Ah yes.. it's funny really (and retarded that I have to get involved)..
I will be enlisting in my country's National Service on 9 November 2011, 10.45am.

That day on, for the next probably 2 months, I won't be able to blog as regularly as I wished I could (should!)..

Sad. Ya know I think they should really let you have a say.. As in,"who to be what" and not throw all guys into something half of 'em don't wish to get involved in... I mean not every one wants to be in the Force.. Heck, I'm not even planning to stay in Singapore after I'm 21...

Boo.. Boooo...

But oh well.. I take NS as a fitness camp.. Shape up, Bulk up, Lean up..
Then.. Helloo Ladies~ *wink wink*

What's new?

As of April 17, 2011, I've officially graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic! Hell yeah!

But then in Singapore, we have some thing called National Service, NS for short, where every able-bodied men above the age of 16 are required to go through "regimented exercises". This is to prepare the nation's men for any unseen circumstances..

Bah! Who cares about that really.. It's just 2 years of hard labor and mental torture.. Shouldn't be a problem.. I guess so.. :/

...Uh.. Hmm..

Anyways, while I wait to be enlisted into the Army, I'll be working part-time at Boost Singapore! It's not as big nor popular as those in Australia that's for sure.. But meh.. It works..

Oh! Look at the time.. Gotta bounce.. to bed.
